On February 22, U.S. Government students from SSHS participated in the yearly We the People competition at the state capitol. The competition, sponsored by the Center for Civic Education, required students to prepare essays on specific Constitutional issues and then read their essays in front of a panel of judges. The judges then asked follow-up questions to assess students’ comprehension of their assigned topics. Our students performed admirably under pressure; we are very proud of them!

Many SSHS Students are bound for Ecuador in the Spring!  They've raised $5000 as of Dec 21, and have plans for many more fundraisers!  To donate or to find out more, click here!
