2009 Adventures of the Mind Conference

 Juniors and Seniors:  3 day conference with oppurtunity to interact with 50 renowned artists, athletes, authors, journalists, scientists and scholars of our day. The Dennis & Phillis Washington Foundation will be selecting 10 Montana students to attend-ALL COSTS ARE COVERED BY WASHINGTON FOUNDATION. If you are interested in this program please see Toni Sexton for an Application and criteria. DUE March 31st. Students will know if they are going by mid April.

 

Montana Association of Chiefs of Police is having its 10th annual Junior Police Leadership Academy for grades 9-11. This camp will be in June of 2009. If interested  please see Toni Sexton for an application. Due April 27th. NO COST.

 
Blackfoot Telephone Coop is sponsoring 2 local High School juniors to go to Washington DC.  All expences paid!!! to find out more information go to: www.blackfoot.com/youth_tour.php
 
College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls is introducing a new program to the school called Veterinary Technology- 2 year program. If interested please contact Toni Sexton
 
Montana Film Academy is offering filmmaking classes this summer.  Talk to Toni Sexton if you are interested.

 

Basic Wildland Fire Training April 4-5 and April 11-12 at Ruby's ReserveStreet Inn Cost $200.

 

Honors Institute for high school students at the U of M campus June 14- 26. Application deadline is April 1,2009. Calsses offered are: Chemistry 195 Harry Potter Potions 101, English 195 Creative writing, and Media Arts 195 Digital Art in Motion. (2 semester credits per class) Financil assistance is available if you qualify. More info in counseling room.
