WELCOME!

At Missoula County Public Schools, we want parents and students to have the information and tools they need to ensure their transition to a new school is smooth and comfortable.

During the school year, parents are encouraged to register their student(s) for school as soon as possible after relocating to Missoula or outlying communities.

REGISTERING NEW STUDENTS

During the school year, parents who wish to enroll students in grades K-8 should go directly to the school that will serve their student. MCPS elementary and middle schools are open for student registration from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Parents who wish to enroll high school students in Missoula should go directly to Big Sky High School (728-2401), Hellgate High School (728-2402), or Sentinel High School (728-2403). These high schools are open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information about high school enrollment, contact each high school directly.

Enrollment forms and directions for student registration/enrollment are also available online for families that want to complete paperwork prior to visiting a school, or that have not yet relocated to the area.

If you are unsure what school your child should attend, click here to do an online search by physical address or view an attendance area boundary map.

Please note that a child must be age 5 by Sept. 10, 2012, to be eligible to begin kindergarten on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012. Click here for additional information regarding kindergarten registration.
