Challenging Our Smallest Learners

From the moment children are born, they are happiest when they are learning with their peers in a safe and fun environment. Missoula County Public Schools offers a special place for preschool children (ages 3-5). Our Early Learning Preschool at Jefferson Center offers classes to help youngsters develop in a safe and warm environment, with a special curriculum designed for children with and without disabilities. All classes are taught by certified teachers with extensive preschool experience.

Missoula County Public Schools offers a comprehensive program of special services designed to provide a learning environment which supports each child in reaching his or her maximum potential to become a participating member of society.

The mission of Special Services is to provide an environment which encourages a sense of belonging and supports each child in reaching his or her maximum potential in becoming a participating member of society.

Vision

Special Services is comprised of a community of shareholders which recognizes and values the diversity of children and learning styles, and sees the best ways to educate all children.

Missoula County Public Schools serves 8,400 students in seventeen (K-12) schools in Missoula, Montana. The District also provides preschool programs and adult & continuing education. The District's vision, mission and principals guide its curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
