MCPS incorporates a web-based job posting and online application system. All applications must be completed and submitted online. To learn more about the system, select the "EMPLOYMENT" tab on the menu bar at the top of the webpage and follow the links. Please contact the Human Resources Office at 406-728-2400 ext 1035 if you need assistance. Vacancy listings are also located on the hallway wall outside of the Human Resources Office.
· Criminal Background checks are required on ALL new hires and on-call substitutes.
· On-call substitutes are responsible for the background check fees. (Approx. $29.25 to MT. Criminal Justice Dept., and $11.00 - $15.00 to Law Enforcement).
· Tuberculosis Test results within the last 12 months will be required of all new employees, and on-call substitutes.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR NEW APPLICANTS • All applicants must submit an online application and all required application materials, paper and electronic. New applicants must have an email address to use the online application system. Free email addresses may be obtained by searching the internet for "free" email (e.g. hotmail, yahoo, gmail). To log into the MCPS application system, click on the "EMPLOYMENT" tab where you will find instructions that will guide you through the process. APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR APPLICANTS WITH A RECENT MCPS CERTIFIED APPLICATION ON FILE • All applicants must submit an online application, even if they have previously submitted a paper application. To log into the MCPS online application, click on the "EMPLOYMENT" tab where you will find instructions that will guide you through the process. Paper applications submitted by applicants for employment within the last 2 years (i.e. reference letters, transcripts, licenses) are on file with the HR Office. To request HR include those documents in your application, you must contact HR at 406-728-2400 ext 1035 or email personnel@mcps.k12.mt.us

Paper application materials (i.e. references, transcripts, teaching license) that District employees previously submitted are on file in the HR Office.
