About Us...

Washington Middle School began organizing students and teachers into teams in 1995. Our teams are the ideal models for middle school education, creating "schools within a school." Each team has 50-120 students and 2-4 teachers. Washington's excellence in academics, discipline and a positive, safe environment stems from the small team structures within each grade level

-Teams maintain the benefits of small neighborhood elementary schools, ensuring that every student is well known by one teacher and receives individual attention.

-Teams add the best of secondary education by allowing for strengthened academic instruction through teacher collaboration on each team.

The school nurse tracks illness trends by keeping track of the number of students out with fever.  If your child is home and has a fever, please mention that in your message.  Your child should remain home for a full 24 hours, fever free, before returning to school.  Thank you.

ALERTNOW:

Missoula County Public Schools will notify parents as early as possible if severe weather or other circumstances require that schools delay their starting time or require that schools are closed and cancelled for the day. District officials work closely with the bus company (Beach Transportation) and city/county transportation staff to monitor the condition of local roads and highways during severe weather or when other circumstances arise.

The District will use the AlertNow system to communicate with parents by telephone and/or email, should school be cancelled or delayed. A recorded phone message and an e-mail will be generated to each household as early as 6:15 a.m.

It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that the school has their most current phone and e-mail information on file.

Parents may also find information at the following:
