After School:

  • Bowling
  • Hip Hop meets today. Meet in the cafeteria at 3:15
  • Gladiators – to get in on the warfare action, go to the shop room today after school and build your sword. You need to be signed up on the Flagship door so that there will be enough materials for you.

 

Flagship News:

  • Tomorrow is the first Podcasting class. Podcast yourself! Sign up at the Flagship office if you haven’t already. Meet in the computer lab after school on Tuesday.
  • Lit Club – Poet? Like to read? Join them for their first meeting next Wednesday after school. Sign up at the Flagship Office.
  • Cup Cake Club also starts on Wednesday. Be a cupcake hero. Meets after school in the Home Ec Room, #176
  • SOL March trip: Wednesday – Strong workers are needed to do some trail work in the Rattlesnake on Wednesday with Montana Conservation Corp. Sign up to help out and earn community service hours as well!

 

College and Scholarship News:

  • Seniors interested in studying music in college, the Five Valley Chorus of Sweet Adelines International is offering a $500 scholarship. You do not need to be a music major or minor, but must continue to participate in an organized performance group. Deadline April 30th.
  • Seniors: The Montana Coroner’s Association has a $500 scholarship for those majoring in Criminal Justice or Health Science. At least a 2.5 GPA required and need, academic ability and career goals are all criteria. Deadline May 10th.
  • On Friday a representative from Carroll College in Helena will be here after 2nd period.
  • Juniors: The Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps is accepting applications beginning April 1st for their full tuition college scholarships and other financial benefits worth up to $180,000. In addition to the regular Navy option, they also have a Nurse Corp for those interested in a nursing degree.
  • Juniors planning on going to college: This summer, work with a writing coach to develop your personal statement for your college applications. For $100 you get 5 individualized meetings to perfect your final draft before your senior year.
  • Juniors and Seniors are invited to Tech Day on April 16th at Montana Tech in Butte. This open house event is free for all students interested in learning more about Tech. You will tour the campus and meet with faculty and students.
  • Stop by the counseling area for any additional college information.

 

All Small Engine students that have mowers or stuff by Small Engines please remove it by spring break. There will be a major cleaning taking place by Mr. Burtch.

 

Track Team Photos will be taken this Thursday at 3:00pm on the Track. Softball Team Photos will be also be taken on Thursday at 5:00pm on the softball field. Be sure you have received your photo ordering form from your coach.

 

Word of the Day: narcissistic (adj) Having excessive interest in one’s own appearance, self, etc. Though teenagers are often accused of being narcissistic, members of the Key Club spend hours unselfishly helping their community.
