A Note from Lowell School's Poet in Residence, Robert Lee:
The 2007-2008 school year was my fifth year as the Missoula Writing Collaborative's Poet in Residence at Lowell Elementary. I am ever so proud to be a member of the Lowell family. A family, Lowell certainly is. Love abounds in this school. Lowell is a school where students and staff truly care about and care for one another. I plan to be back next year to write poems with Holly Jasperson, Carole Addis, and all the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students at Lowell. I want to thank Principal Cindy Christiansen for welcoming me into the Lowell family. I treasure the experience and all the support. Lowell student poems are loaded with imagination, emotion, and talent. I'm sure you'll be amazed.

Lowell School Student/Poets read their poems in the library, along with their teacher, continuing a long tradition of oral recitations on the third floor stage.

To read some of their poems go to Lowell School Poetry . Lowell School student poetry is also on display on the Mountain Line buses throughout the Missoula area.
